In this day and age, laws can change human behavior has become a debatable issue among people from all walks of life all around the world. Although, judiciary influencing the general public is regarded as thoroughly both positive and constructive by many individuals, there are a number of people hold an opposite view. I am inclined to strongly believe that the effect of the law on society is quite beneficial for nations since it promotes a higher happiness index.
To begin with, there are a number of reasons why I support influence on humanity by the law. First and foremost is that it provides social uplift for the people. Secondly, it helps in less public inequality. From my personal experience, when I visited countries where laws are strict, I have witnessed that the happiness index is much higher. Consequently, it is quite conspicuous that humanity can be influenced by law.
However, there is no doubt that laws can provide individuals with various negative outcomes. Despite this possibility, it is highly claimed that within some countries where the law is more strict, there is little or no freedom. By way of example, recent academic research conducted by Oxford University researchers in 2012 has shown that population in such nations consist of less happy people. Thus, it is quite obvious that the impact on society by law can be negative too.
To put it in a nutshell, while there are several persuasive arguments on both sides, my opinion confirms that altering human behaviour by rules is good. Not only due to higher happiness index but also due to less public inequality.
