Overall, it is clear that all modes of transport seem to have gradually increased except walking, bicycle as well as a local bus. However, the car makes up the highest portion whereas the taxi is undoubtedly the lowest throughout the years.
To initiate, there was a dramatic growth in the number of car users in England in 3199 in 1985, followed by a sharp increase to 4806 in 2000. However, the distance traveled by the number of train users had experienced a decrease to 289 in 1985, before hitting an upward trend to 366 in 2000.
On the contrary, walking, bicycle, and the local bus had experienced a downward trend. Furthermore, long-distance bus, taxi, and other modes seem to increase in both particular years.
