A glance at the provided table illustrates the information about railway transport comparation in four countries in 2007. The data compared were the number of users, the length of journey in kilometers per head and the weight of cargo carried in billions of tons. In general, it is clearly apparent that Japan utilized railway transport the most compared the other three countries.

Looking more in detail from the table, Japan marked as the highest country in railway transport users at 27 while the other countries showed only below half from 5.5 to 5.9 in Italy and the UK and much lower at 0.3 in the USA. Linearly, the Japanese passenger kilometers per head were also reported as the longest at 1,980 kilometers per head. Meanwhile, passenger kilometers in the UK and Italy ranged around 770-780 kilometers per head and those in the USA only 80 kilometers per head. On the other hand, surprisingly, although the USA showed the lowest figures in users and length of journey taken, regarding the weight of cargo carried by the passengers in cumulative, the USA reported the heaviest cargo at 2,820 billion compared to the other countries. The UK, Japan and Italy railway passengers only carried less than one hundredth of it at 22.2, 23.01, and 21.9 respectively.
