The table illustrates the revenue of New Zealand kiwifruit export to five different countries Japan, China, Mexico, Russia and Saudi Arabia throughout a two-year period from 2010 to 2012.
Overall, Japan and China were the two largest consumers in New Zealand kiwifruit at all times. In contrast, Saudi Arabia had the most insignificant figures of export. Japan and China revenues of kiwifruit export increased successively while Russia’s dropped over the time.
In 2010, Japan experienced the first place in exporting kiwifruit from New Zealand with the number of $271,100,000, followed by China and Mexico with $74,900,000 and $6,000,000 respectively. Figures for Russia and Saudi Arabia were just under $1,000,000 while Japan, China and Mexico’s figures were at least $6,000,000 and up to 9 digits. There was a considerable decrease in Mexico’s value in 2011 at about 2.5 times less than in 2010. Saudi Arabia underwent a sharp fluctuation throughout the two-year period and ended up with only $82,000 whereas Japan remained going up slightly and in the last year, its value reached $325,300,000.
