The table below gives information on consumer spending on different items in five different countries in 2002. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, make comparion where relevant.
The given table compares the proportion of money that buyers paid for five different goods in Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden and Turkey in the year 2002.
It is clear that food/drinks/tobacco were the highest proportion while clothing/foodwear and leisure/education were the lowest percentage. Turkey was the country that buy the most items.
Food/drinks/tabacco were the most bought in Turkey with 32.14%, followed by Ireland with 28.91%, almost 3% lower than Turkey. The proportion in Spain was higher than the percentage in Italy with 18.08% and 16.36% respectively. The number of this item in Sweden was the lowest, almost 17% lower than the highest percentage.
Italy was the country that bought the most clothing and footwear accounted for 9%, higher than the country ranked 2 was that Turkey at 6.63%. The difference between Spain and Ireland was not quiet big, took up 6.51% and 6.43% respectively while the proportion of Sweden was the lowest comprised 5.40%. Leisure and education were the fields of least interest, the highest figure went to Turkey at 4.35% whilst Spain was the country that used this items least with 1.98%, other figures in this fields were quiet even.
