The given table sheds lights on the expenditure distribution of consumers in 5 different nations, namely Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden and Turkey in 2002.
As can be seen from the table, citizens in all mentioned countries spent most of their money in Food/Drinks/Tobacco while expenditure for Leisure&Education activities made up the least with just around 1.98% to 4.35% depend on each countries.
When it comes to the Food, Beverages and Tobacco sections, consumers from Turkey and Ireland were among the top buyers on the ground that approximately a third of their expenditure went to these types of goods, with the former accounted for 32.14% and 28.91% for the latter. The others' spending were significantly lighter, varied from 15.77% to 18.8%.
Considering the figures for Clothes&Footwear, Italians spent up to 9% of their budget on this category, followed by Turkey, Spain, Ireland and Sweden.
With regard to expenditure on Leisure&Education activities, it is clear that people from all mentioned nations spared the least of their income on this sector, made up less than 5% of their total spending, with the highest went to Turkey (4.35%) and Spain bottomed out the list at 1.98%.
Surprisingly, in terms of the total expenditure for three sectors, those from Turkey spent up to 43.12% of their income, nearly double that of Swedish (24.39%)
