The table below identifies the most visited 12 tourism attractions in 1999 and 2000
The table illustrates the cost demanding twelve tourist destinations in Britain most visited by people in 1999 and 2000.
Interestingly, the Millennium Dome and the British Airways London Eye which were not opened in 1999 had the highest number of visitors in 2000. Out of the twelve attractions, the Victoria and Albert Museum was visited by more number of people in 2000 when compared to 1999. A similar trend was replicated in the case of the Flamingo Land Theme Park and Zoo. It showed an increase in the number of tourists from 1, 197, 000 to around 1, 301, 000. The Madame Tussand's and Science Museum experienced the similar decrease in the number of people visited during a period of two years. Almost a stable trend was observed in the case of the Chessington World of adventures and Canterbury Cathedral.
In a nutshell, the number of tourists visiting tourist destinations decreased considerably expect two out of twelve attractions.
