The table below presents the food consumption per a person weekly in a European country in 1992,2002 and 2012
The table provides information about the weekly food consumption of people in a particular European country in 20 years starting in 1992.
As can be inferred from the data, the total intake of every food type except meat had increased after 20 years. It is also apparent that vegetables registered the highest consumption figure out of 5 groups examined, whereas the cheese made up the smallest part of people’s diets in all three years.
The consumptions of vegetables and meat were the highest in people’s diets in 1992, at 2140 grams and 1148 grams respectively. There was a slightly increase in vegetables to reach at 2220 grams in 2012. Meanwhile, the amount of meat people consumed had rose slowly before declining in 1132 grams.
By this time, there was an upward trend in the figure for wheat from 837 grams to 977 grams. Witnessing a similar pattern, the data for bean grew up to 590 grams. By contrast, after going up, 2002 witnessed the unchanged amount of cheese in the next 10 years period.
