Given is a graph elaborating the performance of top nations in the Olympic Games held in London in the year of 2012. All in all, the US was the winner of this championship in terms of gold medal earned.

With 46 gold medals and 29 silver medals, the US surpassed all the other countries in the leaderboard in respect to both gold and silver medal fetched. Likewise, numbering 104, the US also positioned on top of total medals earned. Second in terms of collective medals was China, and it saw 38 gold, 27 silver and 23 bronze ending up with 88 medal registered.

Although Russia obtained a remarkable number of 82 medals, it was outweighed by Great Britain attributing to the number of gold medals possessed. The British althelets contended for 29 gold, compared with a slightly smaller number of 24 gold was seized by the Russians. Meanwhile, positioned on the rank of 5 to 8, candidates coming from Korea, Germany, France and Italy got more than 20 medals for their countries.

Noteworthy is the fact that Hungary obtained less medals than that by Australia by half, though it outperformed Australia in the game regarding to gold medal earned.
