The table gives information about the amount of forested land in six different areas in three years.

Overall, what stands out from the table is that the forested land in the Europe was higher than the other areas in three years. By contrast, the amount of forested land was by far the lowest in the Oceania.

Looking at the details, regarding the Africa and the South America, there were considerable decreases in the amount of forested land by 58 million of hectares and 64 million of hectares, respectively, in the period between 1990 and 2005. Moreover, the figure of the North America experienced a slight decline to 705 million in 2000 which remained stable in 2005. The trend in the Oceania was quite similar to the North America, starting at 199 million in 1990 and then decreasing slightly to 197 million at the final.

In the other details, despite falling to 570 million in 2000, the amount of forested land in the Asia saw a moderate increase to 584 million in 2005. As regards the Europe, the forested land was at 989 million in 1990 and then finally hitting a peak of 1001 million in 2005.
