The given table illustrates the sizes of different forested lands in six areas of the world in millions of hectares from the year of 1990 to 2005.
It is oviously clear that the figures of hectares of land covered by forest relatively dropped in most parts of the world. In contrast, this number in Europe and Asia experienced an exceptionally growth.
In details, Africa and South America got a steady decrease, by approximately 100 millions hectares over 15-year-period between 1990 and 2005. Regarding to North America and Oceania, this number nearly remained stable, only dropped by 2 millions hectares each areas from 1990 to 2005.
In the contrary, in term of the figures of forested lands in hectares, Asia and Europe showed their strongly efforts to astronomically increase its sizes of lands coverd by forests between 1990 and 2005. In other words, Asia started the figure at 576 in 1990 and reduced to 570 before considerbraly went up to 584 in 2005.
