At a glance, it is noticeable that the principal reason for people giving up smoking is to have better physical well-being, and the majority of smoker have an intention to give up their habit.
Regarding the first table, to maintain general health status is the main reason having chosen by more than 64% of smoker in all group, followed by financial consideration at around 30%. Just above 20% of the questioned smoker in all group consider less risk of getting smoking-related illnesses as a motive to stop the habit. Lastly, lower than a fourth of smoker state that the reason they leave the habit because of currently having health issues and family pressure.
Moving to the second table, 60% of the smoker having 20+ cigarettes per day intent to give up smoking and this lower by about 6% of the remaining group. As much as 32% of people smoking 10-19 cigarettes daily decides to stop their habit within the next 6 months. Both 20+ and 10-19 cigarettes groups have a plan to give up their habit next years. In contrast, just a small percentage of the questioned smoker choose to stop smoking in the following month.
