These days, many people turn to doctors and medicines instead of following a healthy lifestyle. I totally disagree with this approach and I believe that having a healthy lifestyle cannot be substituted with medicines.
I think one important factor which constitutes a healthy lifestyle is a good diet. You can not replace a nourishing and healthy diet with supplements and vitamin pills. That means your nutrition shouldn't be relied on vitamin pills or powders of protein or collagen. Enough vitamins and other essential minerals for your body should be gained through your nutrition. So, eating variety of vegetables, fruits and all types of foods can provide all your body requirements, which are also absorbed better than pills by the digestion system of your body. However, inclusion of various types of foods in your shopping list and providing them regularly can be hard for some people; therefore, they escape from it.
Another influential aspect of a healthy lifestyle is getting sufficient and regular exercise. In my opinion, nothing can have the same effect on the heath as exercise. It contributes to the health of your heart and lungs, it builds and maintains your muscles and as a consequence prevents many chronic and annoying pains of middle age such as arthritis. It prevents obesity, which itself is the main cause of many diseases. Some people do not have enough time, or it is better to say that they do not allocate time for exercise. Instead, sometimes they turn to medicines or tablets to burn calories and fat, which has really irreparable harms on the natural performance of their body. Moreover, there are many other measures which contribute to human's health, for instance adequate night sleep, drinking plenty of water, avoiding from smoking and alcoholic drinks, putting aside junk food and etc.
It can be concluded that, although a healthy lifestyle has more substantial and permanent impact on health, unfortunately, many people prefer continue to smoking for example and relying on some pills prescribed by doctors to regulate their blood pressure and heart beat. In my conviction, it is not sensible at all.
