The Pie Charts illustrate a school expenditure on five categories such as teacher's salaries, other worker's salaries, resources like books, furniture and equipments, and insurance in the United Kingdom over three decades between 1991 and 2001.

Overall, teachers salaries accounted for the highest expenses, whereas least money was spent on insurance over the period given. To add on, while spending on insurance, teacher's salaries and furniture and equipment increased in 2001, other workers salaries and resources showed a decrease.

Between 1981 and 1991, salaries given to teachers rose by 10% to comprise almost half of the total expenditure in 1991. Similarly, money spent on resources and insurance went up from 15 % to 20% and 2% to 3% respectively. On the other hand, rest two categories experienced a fall with other workers salaries from 28 to 22% and furniture and equipment by 10% to rest at 5% in 1991.

By 2001, a 5%, a 7% and a 11% decline occurred in teacher's salaries, other worker's salaries and resources with final figures at 45, 15 and 9%. In contrast, money expended on insurance and furniture and equipments surged significantly by about three and four folds to reach a value of 8% and 23% respectively in the final year.
