The given pictures are showing the structures of hot air balloon with indicating different constructional units and mechanism of rising up and getting down.
This old tool of fyling in the air has very simple but mind blowing mechanism. Simply, the main part is the ballon envelop which hold the hot gas inside that helps the entire body to float in the air. As ususal, the upper part of the balloon is bulbus. From the middle, it starts to narrow down up to the neck region. A busket for the passengers is attached at the neck with cords. On top of the passengers head, two burners are placed. At the top of the balloon, there is a valve that can be opened and closed when necessary.A cord from the valve is hanged down reaching the passengers which can be used to manipulate the valve for opening and closing.
When the balloon needs to go high up, the valve is closed, bruners are on and hot air is pushed into the balloon. It makes the entire structure lighter that helps the balloon to fly up. When it needs to get down, burners are turned off, the valve is opened to release the gases from the balloon, so that it comes down to earth due to graviational force. This is how the hot air balloon works.
