The two maps below show an island, before and after the construction of some tourist facilities.
The two maps elucidate the information about some tourist facilities on the island before and after the construction.
Overall, it is clear that dramatic changes were observed in the overall period. Island had developed more accommodation facilities, whereas they had given less significance to trees in that area.
In detail, it is noticeable that a considerable number of changes were experienced in housing. A large number of houses were built around the reception which was located in the center of the island. To the north of it, a restaurant was built. Also, to the south of it, they developed a port Blair to attract the people for tourism. In the same way, we can see two sails that were placed at two ends of the pier.
In contrast, the Island had not given any priority to planting a greater number of trees. Trees remained unchanged before and after the construction. Similarly, to the northeast of the island, there is no change seen in the beach area. Equally, to the northeast of the island, there was an open space which has not changed from the past.
