The two pie charts illustrate how different retail sectors contributed to the online sales of Canada percentagewise in the years 2005 and 2010.

Overall, at the beginning of the period, video games contributed the least to the online sales of Canada, while electronics & appliance was the most significant sector sales. In comparison, at the end of the period, food & beverage and home furnishings became the largest and online sales segment and the lowest contribution was made by video games, electronics & appliance.

We can see that, food & beverage sector accounted for 22 % of Canada ‘s online sales in 2005, and experienced a one-tenth increase to 32 % in 2010. Online sales retail income from video games was 18 percent in 2005 and it rose to 23 percent at the end of the period.

Electronics & appliance, which comprised a quarter of Canada’s retail online sales in 2005, fell to 15% in 2010. In 2005, online sales output from electronics & appliance were at 35 %, then decreased by 5 % after 5- year period.
