The two pie charts below show the online shopping sales for retail sectors in Canada in 2005 and 2010.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The given pie charts compare online orders of Canadian retail sales in four categories in 2005 and 2010. Overall, it is evident that sales of electronics and appliances as well as home furnishings have decreased in 2010 when compared with 2005, whereas, sale of other two commodities i.e., video games and edibles has increased.

Moreover, despite all the variations in sales numbers electronics and appliances maintain their top position in both of these years. Although, there was a drop of 5% in this category in 2010, yet still it maintained a third of all sales. Likewise, home furnishings followed similarly downward trend, almost losing 10% of their sales from 2005 to 2010.

On the other hand, food and beverage demand soared as it was merely up to a quarter in 2005, while in 2010 it became a third of total online sales, getting the first rank among all other categories in 2010. Similarly video games online sale also increased in 2010.
