Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information in the graph: Consumption of Fast Food in the UK
The line chart gives information about how much fast food was consumed every week in the UK from 1970 to 1990.
Overall, the account of fast food consumed increased in most of the dishes except Pizza in this period. In addition, the figure for Pizza was the lowest at the end of the period although it was highest at the started point.
In the year 1970, there were around 50 grams of Hamburger eaten, which was similar to Fish and Chips. Later, the period between 1970 and 1990 witnessed a sharp growth in Fish and Chips consumed of 450 to 500 grams in 1990. However, the figure for Hamburger only rose moderately to 270 grams in 1990.
With regard to Pizza, it was the most popular fast food dish in 1970, with 300 grams pizza, which was 6 times higher than that for Fish and Chips in the same year. This number experienced a considerable decline to 220 grams in 1990 and became the lowest figure in 1990, while Fish and Chips’ figure was the highest figure in the line graph.
