Essay topics:

Yemen and Italy's population

The given pie charts illustrate the proportion of three different age groups in population of Yemen and Italy in 2000 and predictions for 2050.
It is clear that the rate of residents aged 15-59 years old in these two nations are mostly highest in two research years. Additionally, people from 60+ years old group in Italy have the much higher percentage than that of Yemen.
The 0-14 year old people in Yemen made up the highest proportion in 2000, at 50.1%, whereas just 3.6% of Yemen’s population were 60+ years old. Besides, the figure of 15-59 year old group accounted for an impressive rate of nearly 50% in 2000 and is expected to rise considerably to 57.3% in 2050. In contrast, there is an forecast for the proportion of the youngest group of Yemen to decline significantly to 37% in 2050.
Similarly, in Italy, the highest rate in population also belongs to the 15-59 year old group. Specifically, in 2000, 61.6% of Italy’s population were from 15 to 59 and the percentage of people aged 0-14 and 60+ years old were 14.3% and 24.1% respectively. While the figure for the oldest group is predicted to double to 42.3% in 2050, there is a expectation for the rate of 15-59 year old people to decrease dramatically to 46.2% in the future.
