You recently bought a piece of equipment for your kitchen but it did not work. You phoned the shop but no action was taken.
Write a letter to the shop manager. In your letter:
• describe the problem with the equipment
• explain what happened when you phoned the shop
• say what you would like the manager to do
Dear Manager,
I am writing this letter to express my dissatisfaction with your after sales and support service because the brand-new microwave I bought was not working and your support staff did not send anyone to look into matter.
I actually came to know about the issue, the moment I connected it to the switch, after taking it out from the box. Although the switch to which I connected the plug had supply, it never turned on and the power LED was off too, which led me to the conclusion that it might be some problem with the equipment.
An immediate call was made by me to the support department of the shop, they kept me on hold for 15 minutes and after that a lady named Sarah told me that no electrician is currently available to attend my complain. Furthermore, I requested her to issue me a complain number, so that I can follow up against my complain but she responded very rudely and did not issue any service request number.
It is requested to kindly look into the matter and resolve the issue at your earliest. Since the microwave is under warranty, I want it to be replaced with a new one of the same brand and specification.
Looking forward for a prompt action.
Yours Sincerely,
Shazia Iqbal
