Dear Mr. Smith,

I am delighted to receive your offer for the profile of "Production Engineer" in your organization. Our last meeting was very fruitful as we discussed certain aspects of the expansion of your company and hiring skilled professionals for improving the production.

I have gone through the job description and responsibilities mentioned in your offer letter for this role, and I must say that it is a very challenging role where one can learn a lot of new things. However, due to some commitments in my present job, I am afraid I would not be able to accept your offer. The current project, which I am working on, is extended to the next year due to some unforeseen constraints and requires my intervention for its smooth implementation. Apart from this, I have discussed my future prospects with my current employer and he is reluctant to relieve me from the responsibilities until the successful execution of this project.

One of my colleagues, having hands-on experience in the manufacturing field, is interested in working in your organization. And, by looking at his past experiences and diverse skill-set, I believe he would be a value add to your esteemed organization. I have enclosed his resume for your reference, and hope your search for the production engineer will be over after interviewing him.

I thank you for your consideration.

Kind Regards,
Peter Parker
