The graph below shows the number of shops that closed and the number of new shops that opened in one country between 2011 and 2018.

The graph depicts data on how many shops closed and opened in one country from 2011 to 2018.
Overall, the number of shops closed and the number of shops opened was a downward trend. It is clear that a lot of stores opened is higher than stores closed.
Looking at the line graph we can see that the number of shops opened was the highest at 8,500 in 2011. This figure was substantially dropped to 4,000 in 2012. However, there was growth again in 2014. In the following years, this figure of shop openings markedly declined to 3,000 in 2018.
In 2011, the number for closing was about 6,500 and this number continued to decrease to 6,000 in 2012. Although this number had significant growth it just stood at 6,600 before falling dramatically to 800. Finally, this figure considerably increased from 800 to 5,100 at the end of the period.
