The table illustrates the changing trend of five different fast foods which are eaten by the inhabitants of Melbourne from 2005 to date and also predicts how it is going to look like in 2025.
Overall, it can be seen from the emergent data that for all types of fast food categories it has increased in the number of units and is also forecast to be a rise in the future. People have consumed hamburgers and fried chicken the most till today and are also estimated to go up further whereas salad gained attraction now and continued to be the same way.
For hamburgers and fried rice, in 2005 people in Melbourne, consumed 40 and 35 units respectively which has showed a mere difference of 2 units for both the items. Although for the hamburgers it decreased, for fried rice, it has risen 2 units. These figures again will go up in future prediction in 2025 by 13 and 8 units.
On the other hand, the salad was the least preferred fast food in 2005. Only, 5 units were consumed in that year which has jumped three times at present-day and is estimated to go up almost 8 times the initial value in 2025. Nevertheless, the provided result for the rest two items, fried rice, and noodles, are all-time below 10 units
