The graph below shows the number of enquiries received by the Tourist Information Office in one city over a six-month period in 2011.

Writing Task 1
The line graph illustrates three methods of enquirers regarding tourism in a city for duration of first six months (January - June) in the year of 2011.
Overall, the total number of in person enquirers increased the most whereas enquirers by letter/email decreased over the period given. Although the means of enquirers by telephone was the most popular method of communication in early months, it was replaced by in person in the later half of the time frame.
Looking to the data in details, in person enquirers was least preferred at the beginning of the period and started only above 400 in the month of January, increased gradually from that point to cross the means of communication by telephone at a number of 1000 in mid March. This figure continued to rise sharply and peaked at 1900 in the final month. On the other hand, telephone enquirers begun at a number of 900 in January, fluctuated for a time line of next three months after which it rose to the level of 600 in June.
However, for remaining data, enquirers via letter or email were middle in the beginning close to 800. This means showed opposite trend than the other two and steadily decreased and ultimately reached to a number of just below 400 at the end of the period.
