Nowadays it is ubiquitously seen that the fathers are showing interest to stay back at home and look after their offsprings while mothers are working in different sectors. In my perspective, this tremendous change could be because women are strong and are able to succeed in different types of jobs, and this is completely a positive development.
Firstly, women of this modern era are better than men in many fields. This is because they are given the freedom to choose their life and fulfill the dreams of raising the bars of a social belief that men are breadwinners and women have to look after their children and household chores which were practiced a couple of decades ago. For instance, Sania Mirza, a married woman had chosen to represent India in the international badminton competition in 2017 and achieved a gold medal to the country. This was possible because of her husband, a former cricket player of Pakistan who had given freedom and supported her by taking care of their children. Hence, this trend has been accepted by many people around the world because of mutual understanding between the partners.
Additionally, women are sharper than men in academics and are able to stand strong during the interviews for which they are offered higher salaries than men. In order to give a healthier life to their children, men are staying at home and inspiring their children to be active in all the fields. Recently, the HINDU newspaper has reported that Rakhi Chawla, the CEO of ICICI Bank is paid the highest amount for her hard work and dedication, and thus her husband is looking after their children for more than eight years now, which is an inspiration to every woman around the globe.
On the contrary, opponents believe that women should be restricted and make them do household chores instead of giving them the responsibility to make the family financially strong. This might be because they think the mother can show more love and affection to their children than a father which is primarily needed for the upbringing of the children.
To conclude, there are many reasons why fathers are being at home and mothers are becoming the breadwinners for the family and I think it is a positive development in society.
