Although you have never formally studied computing, you have always been interested in computers. You have just read about a computer course that really interests you, but it is only for people who have completed an elementary course.
Write a letter to the college enrollment officer. In your letter
explain why you are writing
describe your circumstances
ask if a special exception can be made for you so you can enroll in the course
Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to express my interest in enrolling in a computer course. I just read about this course and I acknowledge that this course has prerequisite of an elementary course completion. Although I have never formally completed computer studies before, still I am hoping to get chance to prove my eligibility.
In the past, I wanted to study computer since very early age but because of financial struggles, I had to put my dream aside. However, my circumstances never discouraged me from studying computer by myself. I used to spend free time in library after classes and read books about programming and practicing basic skills on library computer. Also, I have developed small project using C programming language in my spare time.
Even though I never got chance to enroll in computer studies in past, I assure you I will give my best to this course and spend extra time catching up to level of other students. You will not be disappointed by my performance.
It is my sincere request to you that kindly consider my application and make an exception by giving me chance to prove myself.
Looking forward to hear from you soon.
Sincerely
Gunjan
