The chart illustrates alters in three different areas of offence in Newport city centre during the period between 2003 and 2012. It can be seen that burglary increased higher numbers than other crimes during the period. It is measyred numbers.
In 2003, burglary and car theft's crimes stood at the numbers of 3500 and 3000 respectively. Robbery from people was around the amount of crisis 600 in that year. By 2004, three type of crimes were rose dramatically in high numbers. Burglary grew significantly number of around 3700 in that year than other offence. But afterwards, burglary crimes dropped rapidly numbers of 2500 in 2006. In that year, car theft saw sharp decline in the number of 2000 and robbery crime witnessed less number of incidents during the period. In 2005 and 2010. There was slight growth in robbery from people in the number of 700. In 2008, burglary experienced small decline thev number of 1100 and until 2012 this crime saw steady fluctuation was around 500 or 700. Car theft increased minimally in the number of 2500 in 2010. By 2012 in Newport city happened a lot of crimes in car thefts were around 2600 than other car theft years.
