City council is planning to pull down one of the historical buildings in your town because they do not have funds to renovate it.
Write a letter to the city council and in your letter mention the below,
What is the importance of the building?
Why should it be renovated?
Suggest ways to raise funds and maintain the building in future.
Dear Sir,
I hope this letter finds you in the best of spirit. I am writing to you to express my concern regarding your plan of pulling down the Hall of Refuge.
Historical landmarks like the Hall of Refuge is not only holding a part of this town's history but is also making it attractive to tourists. With this being said, this infrastructure has brought a lot of investments and job posts for newly opened facilities. Located at the centre of the town, its accessibility make it a choice for people and visitors from other places.
We are all well aware that funding a renovation for this building may be costly but we can come up with a couple of activities. I have local bands in mind that can perform for a free concert which can be held at the park just across the centre. Additionally, we can organize fun runs, wherein all the proceeds will go to the funds for the reconstruction of the Hall of Refuge.
If you are open to any of these suggestions, I know a lot of people that are willing to volunteer to make these activities possible. You can reach me at 713-842-1651 so that we can agree for a scheduled meeting.
Looking to hear from you soon.
Yours faithfully,
Joyce Smith
