Describe the chart.
The chart shows the energy consumption in Highland in 2000 and 2005. As can be seen, the trend of energy consumption was to increase, which means that the total energy consumption in 2000 (117 million tons) was less than that in 2005 (170 million tons). Petroleum ranked first in 2000 (57 million tons) whereas in 2005 it decreased to 50 million tons and became the second. Coal consumption was less than petroleum consumption. It was 40 million tons in 2000 and increased to 45 million tons in 2005. Nuclear and Hydroelectricity is the energy rise most quickly. In 2000 this energy consumption made up the smallest amount of energy consumption (only 20 million tons). However, it was up to 75 million tons in 2005 and ranked first.
