During a recent plane journey, you sat next to a businessman who owns a chain of restaurants. You talked to him and he suggested that you should contact him about a possible job in one of his restaurants.
Write a letter to this businessman. In your letter
• remind him when and where you met – we met on AirAsia plane from Delhi to Mumbai.
• tell him what kind of job you are interested in
• say why you think you would be suitable for the job
Dear Sir/Madam,
I hope this letter finds you in a good health and I am sure you remember about our recent meeting on the AirAsia plane on Friday. We both travelled together from the Delhi to Mumbai and I sat next to you during the journey. As you suggested me to contact you regarding the job vacancies in one of yours’ restaurants. Therefore, I am writing this letter to you for the suitable position for me.
Allow me to elaborate my professional and academic background. I am post graduate in business management with 10 years of experience in the same field. Thus, I would like to grab the opportunity in one of your restaurants for the position of General Manager. Currently, I am working with KFC outlet located on the downtown and I am willing to explore my skills in more challenging environment.
Furthermore, I reckon that I am most suitable applicant for this position as I fulfill all the requirements. Moreover, I am quite experience with handling fast food based restaurants. I am expert in handling the stressful situation which may occur during the working hours at the store. I have recently completed online digital marketing course for food industry from Oxford University.
I look forward to meeting you to discuss the possibility of employment.
Yours faithfully,
Deepack Sharma
