Letter number 30
You are getting married. Write a letter to an English-speaking friend to invite him/her to the wedding. In your letter - describe who you are going to marry, - tell what will happen on the wedding day (the schedule), - explain why it’s important him/her be at the wedding.

Dear John,
I hope this letter finds you in radiant health and best of spirits. I am writing this letter to invite you to my marriage which is planned for 15th November 2020. I know you are enthusiastic about attending an Indian ceremony and believe me, you will enjoy every function before and after the ceremony.
My fiancé, Veena, is an IT professional in CTS and is working in Kochi location. After the marriage, she is also planning to shift to Canada with me. We met last year at my cousin’s wedding, and we had an instant liking. Later on, I approached her parents through my parents, and they agree with the proposal. So I would say that this is an arranged-cum- love marriage affair.
It would be best if you came one week before the wedding day, as we have a ring exchange ceremony on 10th November. Also, there will be “Mehendi” function at the bride’s home fortnight, so we all will visit to attend the function, these are very interesting, and you too can enjoy the taste of traditional Indian culture. Finally, on the day of the wedding, we will be traditional attire and will tie a knot and take holy vows. Later on, we will take her to our home.
I heard that you are doing some research in Traditional Indian culture. You must attend this function as it would give you a hands-on experience. Later on, you can plan to visit some tourist location as there are a lot of places to visit and my cousin will accompany you.
Hoping to see you at the wedding
Yours lovingly
Rahul
