Write a letter to the museum director to apply for the voluntrylunpaid work.
In your letter
- explain why you want to do voluntrylunpaid work at the museum
- describe some skills and qualities you have that would be useful
- give details of when you would be available for work
Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to inform you that I am interested to work as a part-time Volunteer in you museum.
At the onset, I would like to participate in this humanitarian activity because it gives me a sense of appreciation to work for a native cause. Moreover, due to covid-19 pandemic, this museum has suffered from huge financial crises. Therefore, my unpaid services would certainly help the organisation to maintain the expenditure.
As I am working as a software analyst for an IT company, my technical experience would be beneficial for the development of online website for the museum. I believe that the advanced knowledge of programming is sufficient for designing online interface of the museum to entice more tourists.
Currently, I am working from home and I have more spare time. If you allow me, I shall start my duties at the earliest. The more suitable time for me to work in the museum would be between 12:00pm and 3:00 pm. Please feel free to contact me on +14848848448944.
I am hoping to hear a positive response from your end.
Yours sincerely,
John Milton
