How're you doing, my friend? We haven't met since my last trip to Baghdad about three years ago. Therefore, I feel so excited to spend time with you like the good old days. I'm writing to express my deep apology for not being on time when you arrive.
Firstly, despite the fact that I've informed my boss that I'll need the day off, he's called me about an urgent meeting that should be held in the morning, and will long for 2 hours. In addition to that, I accidentally broke my car left mirror. Although I've planned to clear my schedule on your arrival day, I still need to fix the mirror, otherwise, I'll be charged for a fine. Finally, I don't want you to be worried because I tend to arrive at the front gate as soon as possible. If you don't mind waiting for an extra hour, I would be grateful.
