Essay topics:

Smoking not only harms the smoker, but also those who are nearby. Therefore, smoking should be banned in public places.

To what extent do you agree or disagree?

All medical records show that smoking is injurious to health. To make it worse, it is not only harmful to the smoker but also to the people present nearby, commonly known as passive smoking.

While a person can enjoy their preferences indoor at their leisure, it certainly makes sense to get it banned in public places. Smoking is a personal choice and one should not be refrained from it. However, if one's actions are causing detrimental effects on others health, it should not be neglected.

It's agreeable that one would urge to smoke while enjoying their outings, it can be accommodated in such manner so as to cause no harm to the nearby public. For example, smoking rooms can be facilitated in restaurants to avoid smoke congestion caused to other public. If it's an open area, one can find a secluded area to smoke to avoid passive smoking.

Another point to highlight the damage caused by smoking is the adverse effect it creates in environment. Environment pollution is a serious matter and should be dealt in a stringent manner. The harmful ingredients released in air due to smoking pollutes the environment and endangers other species around us apart from humans including our mother nature.

To conclude, I strongly agree with the idea of getting smoking practices banned in public areas in everyone's interest. Not only will this save the environment and nearby people but might also act as a driving force in curtailing one's smoking habits.
