While there are people who think the eradication of poverty very much depends on the development in economy, others believe that it should be ceased due to deleterious effects on environment. In my opinion, economic growth is necessary to alleviate poverty and raise living standards, but the preservation of environment is also needed to be taken into account.
On one hand, a booming economy increases living standards and lift people out of extreme poverty. People drive benefit from higher living standards, as it opens up ample employment opportunities for young people, so they can stand on their own feet without living off their parents in late 20s and early 30s. This encourages early marriage and enables the youth to get a job to save money to start a family. Therefore, if young people can afford a family life, they will less likely get caught up in dishonest relationship and have happier life.
On the other hand, although the development of economy makes people more affluent, the irreparable damage it causes on environment is irrefutable. Economic growth increases productivity which leads to the more consumption of non renewable resources. The pollution they impose on environment can maintain for years. For example, the use of plastic which when deposed of do not degrade. And so many toxic waste emitted from factories jeopardize our health and causes environmental destruction, as these pollutants sustain on environment for long.
In conclusion, however economic advancement has a detrimental impact on environment, it is a must for every country to boost its economy. Since it enhances people 's living conditions and disentangles them from poverty besetting many underpriveldge society. I am of the opinion that the merits of economic progress outweight its drawbacks. Because it provides welfare benefits and services for people so that they can be better off and apply environment friendly methods to mitigate its harmful effects.

In the recent years, rapidly booming uplift of economy is gaining a great deal of attention throughout the globe. Most importantly, it has been a bone of contention among the critics regarding its impact in the world. While some people feel that it has several downsides on environment, I would contend that it has multifarious benefits too. Here, both sides of my assertion will be scrutinized with my proper verdict at last.
To commence with, poverty has been a significant issue amongst many nation caused by illiteracy, lack of infrastructure and economic progress. Apparently, if a nation encourages on economic growth it can enable high standard of living with adequate job opportunities for people to attain their basic need and improve incentives for parents to invest in their children’s education by sending them to school. Consequently, this will lead to growth in entrepreneurs with pressure on good governance. Additionally, economic growth during the Twentieth Century was a major factor in reducing absolute levels of poverty and enabling a rise in life expectancy.
Nevertheless, despite of its many benefits commercial development can have irreversible impact on environment. For instance, future growth cannot be done without environmental sustainability however, the rate of economic growth is increasing on increase in quantity and quality of natural resources like fossil fuels, valuable metal and wildlife. To illustrate, excessive use of fossil fuels in industries and automobiles releases more carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases, making them the primary contributor to global warming and climate change.
To conclude, as I aforementioned economic growth has a deleterious influence on environment ,however it is required for to eradicate poverty and improve nation’s economy. In my opinion, future economic growth scheme with emphasis on sustainable nature can transfer the world into a happier place.
