Some people think that new houses should be built in the same style as the older houses in the local area. Others disagree and say local authorities should allow people to build houses in the style of their own choice. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

There are different views on the notion of whether traditional houses should be build or the latest model houses. Many individuals assert that the houses should be built in traditional old-style give the same look to the locality but others insist on the view that the design of the house should be sole discretion of the owner.

There are a few benefits of building the same houses. The first and foremost advantage is, everyone enjoys the feel of equality as every house would have the same design it will display the same personalities and status. It will become a symbol of unity for a locality or area. Additionally, by asking the people to build the same houses local government act as a deterrent for people from showing their impudent display of wealth.

On the other hand, there are sundry benefits of building houses as per the owner's needs and requirements. To begin with, the houses which look alike lack the character. The house is known as a reflection of the owner’s personality and it is the space which is actually the owner’s space hence, the local government should not pose any restrictions on making any kind of houses. Furthermore, traditional old designs of the houses have become obsolete as they might not possess the new features such as modular kitchen, rooms with attached bathroom. Add on features are, the installation of CCTV cameras and burglar arm can be a challenge in traditionally built homes.

To conclude, it is easy to follow historical and traditional design but I would like to say that people should have a right to make the home as per their own needs and requirements, moreover, it is a reflection of the personality.
