Today’s children are living under more pressure from the society than children in the past. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?
To begin, Non-age is considered the most diaphanous and vulnerable stage of human lives.
Immensely burgeoning cut throat competition round the corner and the expectation of Parents,
acquaintances at times are self – hortatory to achieve the acme of success. However in juxtaposition,
the hot button claims whether these high expectations from them can boomerang and hamper
them physically, mentally and socially. To my opinion, this standpoint can be analysed through
case by case study.
Driven by the sense of imagination for their child to achieve the greatest success or sometimes
Which they could not achieve and societies peers , as soon as the child comes into live
they are burdened with surfeit of expectation. Unlike a decades ago, children of today’s
generation starts attending pre-schools and classes in second or third years of age. A Harvard
of psychological and behavioral magazine research says that “ Almost seventy to eighty percent
of parents in US admit their child in early age in pre–schools because they want their children to
pick up the race of life as soon as possible besides they do not get the time from their hectic work
Schedule to pressure cook their kids.
Furthermore , there are many research studies which claim that the high bar expectation consciously or subconsciously influence the child’s performance. A university Magazine report says that , how the variation in the result of paper test seen among two groups of high school students ,out of which one was told the test is important for the students to get admission into high ranked university. While the other were apprised that the test was just normal Non-diagnostic. And unsurprisingly the latter group performed better in the test. The proliferation of suicidal attempts and drug indulgence under academic pressure are becoming pervasive among adults across the world. According to a counselling program research in India, almost 6 students commits suicide in a day under the effect of depression and academic pressure and this is more prevalent among the students of high ranked universities and institutions.
Hence to conclude , child and Adults should be given enough space for their overall mental , emotional and physical well – being . Parents have to stop keeping high bar expectation from them and monitoring them 24/7 times to prevent it does not thwart their growth. Along with the reasonable expectation We should let the puerile enjoy and learn from their mistakes and thus exhorting a sense of auto-didactic attitude in them .
