The pie charts indicate the percentage of online sales for retail of electronics & appliance, food & beverage, home furnishings and video games in Canada in 2005 and 2010. Overall, it is evident that the online shopping sales for retail sectors have a few minor differences between 2005 and 2010.
By 2005, the sales of electronics and appliance was the highest at 35 percent, but this figure decreased to 30 percent in 2010. By contrast, food & beverage sales only reached approximately one fifth in 2005, whereas by 2010 it accounted for 32 percent, which was the highest of the four sectors.
Online sales of home furnishing declined from 25 percent to 15 percent between 2005 and 2010. Interestingly, the online sales for retail of video games occupied at just under 20 percent in 2005 and it rose by 5 percent in 2010.
