Essay topics:

You agreed to take a job over the summer, but due to some unexpected problems, you can no longer take the position. Write a letter to the manager. In your letter:
• Apologize for not being able to take the job
• Explain your situation
• Say that you would be interested in the position next summer

Dear Mr.Vu,

I writing this letter to inform you that I am no longer available to take the job as our agreement this summer and thus, I apologize for this inconvenience.

As you have known, I took your job offer to work as a full-time waiter at one of your food stores on Hoang Van Thu street from June to September. However, both my parents have to temporarily relocate to Da Nang in the same period for work leaving me to take full responsibility of our house during this time. Therefore, I am afraid that I will not be able to take this job position that you have offered.

It is really unfortunate to turn down your offer this time, yet, I am still interested in taking this position next year. I believe that working at your store will give me a great experience of running a good business and how to deliver the best service to the valued customers. I hope that you would understand my situation and give me a chance to become your employee next summer.

I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Kindest regards,
