You are going to another country to study. You would like to do a part-time job while you are studying, so you want to ask a friend who lives there for some help.
Write a letter to your friend. In your letter
• give details of your study plans
• explain why you want to get a part-time job
• suggest how your friend could help you find a job

Hi James,
My departure date for Canada is drawing near; moreover, I am busy in doing my arrangement. I would be grateful if you could help me in finding a part-time job as I have very less time to search for a job.
I have enrolled for a full-time course in IDT-Institute in Ottawa, which is for four months. I need to join immediately after my departure day. The course is quite expensive; but, it will help me in improving my skills which helps me in finding a better career opportunity.
To assist in covering the cost of my study, accommodation, food and other daily expenses, I aim to find a part-time job as soon as possible. Not only the study fee but also, others are too expensive to afford individually.
I would wonder if you could ask among your colleagues, friends in other companies to see if they have at least a minimum job. So, that it helps me to survive in the initial days. I know you have wide range of social network in Ottawa which you could do canvas for me, if you would mind.
I look forward to seeing you soon
Thanking you.
Best Wishes,
John.
