You are going to spend your vacation in a city in a foreign country. You have never been there before. Your cousin has a friend who lives there. Write a letter to the friend. In your letter
- Introduce yourself
- Say why you are making this trip
- Ask some questions about the city (e.g. places to see, things to do, things to bring)
Dear John,
It is very kind of you allowing Sarah, my cousin to put me in contact with you and offer to be my tour guide when I reach Finland. Let me firstly introduce myself, I am Adriane and I am currently in my final year of studies. Currently I am planning on my graduation world-tour trip before beginning my career.
As part of this exciting trip, a trip to experience the World’s nature when I’m young, I have chosen Finland as my starting point in upcoming Christmas period. I have long desired to endure aurora experience in Finland. You would not be able to find aurora such unexpectable and mysterious, natural scenery in Hong Kong.
I have partaken researches on Finland including local attractions, cuisines and weather. To make this trip more worthwhile, would you be able to recommend culture experiences that I should attend to. Further, past climate records show Finland would drop below -25oC in Winter, uncertain I could purchase a good quality winter-proof coat in Hong Kong, would you be able to advice which will be the best store to get this and what other things should I bring?
Thank you for all your advices in advance and I couldn’t wait to meet you in Finland.
Best Wishes
Adriane
