You are part of a group of musicians who meet on Tuesday and Friday evenings to practise in the community hall.
You have been told, however, that it is no longer possible for the group to use the hall.
Write a letter to the manager. In the letter:
• describe what the group does
• explain why the group is good for the community
• suggest alternative days and times for practice
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am one of the members of the group of musicians who meet on Tuesday and Friday evenings to practise in the community hall. All of us have a passion for music. Community hall is a place where every member of the group shares his/her knowledge about the music, encouraging the new members to learn. In fact, this group is a stressbuster for all the members.
The group is beneficial for the community. During the time of festivals and events, the group performs along with the group of dancers to entertain the community and enjoy to the fullest. As no fees is charged to join the group, people feel free to come and release their worries of hectic and stressful working schedule.
If there is some issue with the days and timings for the practice, check if the community hall is available on Monday so that people can get rid of Monday blues. Rather than keeping the timings 7-8 p.m, the timings can be 8-9 p.m. as there are all adults in the group and it would not be a problem for them even if it is a bit late.
I look forward to your swift attention and action to this matter.
Yours faithfully,
John
