You have lost your credit card.Write a letter to the manager of your bank. In the letter explain how you lost the card ask the manger to cancel the old card and to issue you a replacement

Dear Sir,

I am writing this to inform you that I have lost my credit card which was issued by your bank, credit card number ending 4017.

This happened yesterday during the rush hour, on the metro train, from downtown Toronto to Mississauga. As you know, traffic peak hours are packed, and I believe that misplaced my wallet on the train itself along with few other essential belongings. I had few other cards, my drivers license, and some other contact cards.

However, I have filed a police complaint on the same, and I have notified Metro Train Lost and Found department. The police is currently investigating the matter with the transport authority. Police have provided me with a lost certification and this insures me against any transactions in case if someone tries to use my cards illegally.

As you may know that the process of investigation can take weeks, I would request you to please cancel my current credit card and issue a replacement.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Yours Faithfully,

Gaurav
