Dear Igor,
I hope the letter reaches you in the best of health. I am elated to have received a letter from you after a really long time. I know that life is very busy for you now. I sensed a lot of curiosity in the last letter you wrote to me. Allow me to elaborate.
Every place has a story to tell. Likewise, my city has a story to tell as well. However, some cities have a serious thing to discuss, but in my city, everyone seems to be excited about the FIFA World Cup 2018. As you know, we are hosting FIFA World Cup 2018 and the preparations are underway. It is a football fiesta that is held once every 4 years and the host nation is decided years in advance on the opening day of the world cup.
The news is doing rounds on multi-platforms such as Radio, Television and Social Media etc. Although I have lived in Moscow for about 9 years now, I have never seen an influx of hundred thousand people as I have witnessed in past few days. The whole country seems to be taken aback by the soaring numbers of visitors. The hotels are fully booked. Further, the media had interviewed one of the top hotel managers and they had expressed their shock as none of them expected a tremendous response to the event.
Furthermore, this time not only Russians, but many people from different countries across the world are coming to support their national teams and moreover, some tickets have been allocated to non-playing nations and the response is amazing and it is making the media go crazy. You will be surprised to know that we do not usually have these things to report in our country, however, the media has devoted manpower to cover the biggest event of 2018.
I hope your curiosity to know about the current news in my country has paid off. I hope to hear from you again soon.
Best Wishes,
Brad Jason
