You live in a room in a college where you share it with another student. You find it very difficult to study and work there because your roommate always has friends visiting. He/she has parties in the room and sometimes borrows your things without asking you.
Write a letter to the Accommodation Officer at the college and ask for a new room next term. You would prefer a single room and explain your reasons.
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to complaint about the disturbance caused by my room-mate during the study hours. I am hoping that you would allot me a new single room.
First of all, the reason that impelled me to change my accommodation is my room mate's attitude. he never leave a chance to annoy me. Since he is surrounded by his friends when I came back from work. he usually wake up late in the morning so, sleep late at night. It creates an awful situation in which I couldn't catch up my sleep.
Moreover, he always invite his friends late at night and have some parties in the room. I couldn't perform well in studies and at work due to cumbersome conditions in the room. Apart from that, he borrowed some of my clothes without asking me and never returns them. he sometimes wouldn't bother to tell me that he took my items, untill I would inquire.
As a solution, I hope that now you can understand my position at this point and would allow me a new room. I not only want a new room, but also I would prefer a single room for the next term. Keeping my preferences in view, I would contact you after a week to interrogate about the availability.
Thanks for giving the matter your attention and I look forward to hearing back from you.
Yours faithfully,
XYZ.
