You recently organised an all-day meeting for your company, which took place in a local hotel. In their feedback, participants at the meeting said that they liked the hotel, but they were unhappy about the food that was served for lunch.
Write a letter to the manager of the hotel. In your letter,
• Say what the participants liked about the hotel
• Explain why they were unhappy about the food
• Suggest what the manager should do to improve the food in the future
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter to express my dissatisfaction over one of your services provided to my clients during a conference. It was held at one of your banquets for my company VC Enterprises on November 24, 2019 at 8:00 P.M.
Before explaining my problem, I would like you to know that the participants really liked the interior of your hotel. The way it embraced the beauty of traditional culture of Rajasthan, it gave them a feel of a palace. They also admired the hospitality of your reception staff when they were welcomed with flower garlands and pleasant greetings.
Coming to the complaint part, the attendants were quite concerned about the food served and the cutlery used. They were less impressed by the quality of curry as it lacked freshness and an unpleasant odour was coming out of it. Moreover, the breads were not hot enough and it seemed liked they were prepared in the morning as they got hard. Furthermore, the lack of proper serving spoons made it unbearable and several of my clients were annoyed as they had to use same spoon for different dishes.
I believe you are open to suggestions. Being in a hospitality sector, food in my opinion is the backbone of services provided. You should bring up a change in the way it is cooked by adding additional quality checking steps so that there is no repetition of cases like this one. Additionally, you should also keep in mind about the stock of cutlery which needs to be present while serving and you may also appoint someone who can properly manage all these aspects.
I hope you will take the suggestions positively and will look into the matter to do the needful.
Yours faithfully,
Hemant Tejwani
