Dear Alex,
Thank you for your letter. I’m sorry I haven’t written for such a long time. I’m glad to hear that you have passed all your school exams.
Concerning the advice you asked me for in your letter, I consider that entering a college straight away is just a waste of money, since you aren’t yet determined about your future career. Then, I suppose you cannot afford paying for education, which would make it better to find a job.
I believe that getting a job now is a great opportunity to acquire new skills and experience. By doing this, you will also find out more about the sphere of job. You would also be able to concentrate on those subjects which you would need to take exams on if you decided to continue your education later.
Of course at this stage, you can only have a job in service which doesn’t require high qualifications, such as a seller or a waiter. You may also think of getting into hotel business, where you would be able to have a chance of career ladder even without having university qualifications, which can be very helpful during you further career.
I hope my advice was helpful.
Take care,
Max
