Dear Frank,
I have received your written complaint from the Residents Welfare office today. I understood that you are very upset about the noise coming from my flat.
To describe my problem, there are rats in the kitchen area and they are getting into my apartment through a broken pipe which goes into the central heating radiator. I was trying to catch them with a net attached to a stick. I was also trying to blockade the pipe with wood and hammering was required to push the small blocks to cover the gap so that rats and mice will not creep into my home again. Hence, I sincerely request you to accept my apologies for the disturbance caused.
Since, the actions which I have taken is temporary, I am planning to call the local plumbing company requesting assistance immediately. Once they arrive, I will completely replace the old piping system at any cost.
