You work for an international company. You have seen an advertisement for a training course which will be useful for your job.
Write to your manager. In your letter
• Describe the training course you want to do.
• Explain what the company could do to help you
• Say how the course will be useful for your job

Dear Sir/ Madam,
I am writing to ask for help to take a training course advertised in the local newspaper. The course is about video production. More specifically, it is about editing in Avid Media Composer.
Let me explain my situation in more detail. Firstly, I would appreciate if the company lends me money to pay for the course and deduct a small percentage of my salary each month. Secondly, I would like to leave one hour earlier as the course starts at 5 o’clock. I work everyday from 8 in the morning to 5 in the evening.
The course will improve my editing work in two different aspects. I will learn about visual effects which will back up my knowledge to build up titles and add animated lower third to videos. In addition, I will acquire the skill to remove the green screen background off interviewee as most filmmaker are tend to use very often these days.
Thank for your time and consideration,
Yours faithful,
X
